An isotachophoretically driven rolling circle DNA amplification module and sensitive nanowire readout based on rolling circle product stretching and metal deposition
The potential amount of targets for many diseases can be very high. The project comprises the development of an isotachophoretically driven rolling circle DNA amplification module. The molecular assay will be combined with a sensitive nanowire readout based on rolling circle product stretching and subsequent metal deposition. This concept constitutes a sophisticated and massively multiplexed (several hundreds of targets), yet simple and rapid molecular test for infectious diagnostics.
Broadly trained Early Stage Researcher with experience in both academia as well as industry currently trying to combine molecular biology, bioengineering and biosensing for novel molecular diagnostics.
